John Wideman: Dramatist

John Wideman studied theatre at the University of Waterloo and the University of Sussex where he focused on politically oriented theatre and practitioners. Fitting to the mandate of Ode Productions, John aims to create theatrical work which encourages social examinations in palatable and entertaining ways.

John has written, produced, directed, and acted in several films and plays throughout Kitchener-Waterloo and the Greater Toronto Area. Some of his written theatrical work includes: "This Prison: or He Came Through the Floor", "Who Do You Say That I Am", and "The Revelation Vignettes". He also directs MASTER PEACE THEATRE, a day camp for children ages 8-13 with an interest in the dramatic arts and peace education.
